So, yeah. Glitter. I know...
Disclaimer - I didn't buy it. My wife and her sisters got me a bunch of different filaments for my birthday. Which was cool. I got some conductive filament, magnetic filament, filament that smells like coffee, color changing filament, lots of neat interesting kinds of filament... but they thought it would be funny to include the herpes of the filament world, AKA a glitter filament. WTF am I going to do with this?
Boom! Peacock napkin holder. For Thanksgiving. That's what. Thank you Thingiverse. Credit to the creator and remix-er:
The print was uneventful. Which is a good thing. The model was well designed and printed great! I used my standard PLA settings in Simplify3D and loaded the filament like normal. A little glue stick on the glass, no warp, no issues removing from the bed, nothing weird. I expected at least a little needy-ness from something that had glitter in it...
