First Fricken Laser Blog Post

Updated: Mar 4, 2020

The blog has been a little slow because I've been working on learning how to use the new laser cutter!

Going from 3D CAD to 2D illustrator/inkscape type drafting has been the biggest learning curve for me. But the ability to make amazing looking designs has me hooked.

For example. Here's a cute gift I made for friends of ours that adopted a new puppy this weekend!

Here's how the basic workflow went:

Wiferneer was pintrest-ing.

Weathered pallet boards leftover from another project I wasn't allowed to burn yet

Our dog sheds a lot (A LOT right now...) so we had lint rollers on hand.

Raid garage for hardware.

No hooks...

Go to hardware store, get hooks. Buy other things that weren't on the list.

Add sanding.

Add laser.

Add hardware.

Seal cracks, voids and anything else sticking though the board.

Voila! Puppy glitter remover!

Like it? Love it? Gotta have it? Good news, I made two of them! There's one in the store just for you!
