My buddy over at West Lights has gone down the LED pixel house rabbit hole, and this week I've officially helped fuel that addiction!
What is a pixel house?! Good question! I'd describe it as Christmas lights on steroids. No, that's not quite right... maybe Christmas lights on steroids with the brain of Einstein. No? Anyhoo, I was asked to help design a new mount for his pixel tubes after a different style of mount broke before he could even get the lights up on the house. No bueno.
After sharing a napkin sketch or two we came up with these beefy pixel tube mounts! They're 3D printed in PETG so they'll be tough enough to withstand Mother Nature and possibly a 200 lb gorilla or three!
Fun project, It was a nice change of pace to be able to start and finish something in about a day!
Can't wait to see the 4th of July show they'll be used in!
